"Just got back from a great vacation in Virgin Gorda. Just want to RAVE about our boat charter experience with Double ‘D' Charters.
Perhaps, the best boating experience we have ever had. Dave Irwin, the owner of Double ‘D’, has a breadth of Virgin Gorda, BVI and everything else knowledge that will AMAZE all who get the good fortune to meet him. He is one cool CAT (hahaha) We loved Dave so much that we chartered him on two different days during our stay. On our anniversary, he took my husband and me out for a sunset sail that was breathtaking. Two days later, we went our for a full day of snorkeling. He knows some of the best snorkel spots around. If you go to Virgin Gorda, you MUST, do at least one boat trip with Dave. Have him take you to the Baths, caves for snorkeling and the Rhone! "Hey Dave –

Ruthie, I and the kids had the absolute best time on the trip to Norman Island last week – and all the stops in between. The whole-day charters made five snorkeling stops, including to the stern of the famous wreck of the RMS Rhone, which sank in the late 1800s. We enjoyed a fun lunch on the floating pirate ship, "The William Thornton," or, more commonly, "The Willie T." When we were not eating the great conch fritters, we were jumping into the water off the top of the Willie T. We saw tons of tropical fish, sting rays, and even an octopus! Very highly recommended!" The highlight was a snorkel at Monkey Point (off Guana Island) where I saw: a school of about 15 tarpon, each of them about five feet long; a sea turtle; many different kinds of fish; and thousands of minnow-like fish in a school so thick you had to push beyond them to see anything in front or below you."
